Your purchase directly supports an independent, dedicated yoga community in Burlington, Vermont. Saka created the original Yoga Messenger Bag in 2002 with a detachable mat cradle enabling the bag to be used with or without a yoga mat. Our mat bags marked a change in the development of yoga accessories to include a broader consideration of today's yogi's active lifestyle. The Saka Yoga backpack, with its signature Mat Wrap Panel is Saka's answer for the urban, traveling and commuting. Today, we continue our commitment to creating modern yoga accessories with new ideas and designs.
The name
Saka is inspired by the Sanskrit word Sakha, meaning partner, friend, one who gives support.
